The Romanian Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics - ROMAI - is a scientific organization. It has no political or lucrative purposes.

The ROMAI society was founded in 1992 by a rezolution of the first General Assembly of founders and then confirmed by a decision of the Court of Law of the Sixth District of Bucharest.

The ROMAI mainly purposes are:

- To develope and to promote Mathematics and its applications in other sciences and industry

- To coordinate and to support the scientific activity of its members.

- To protect the interests of its members in relation with state institutions or other parties.

In the present time the ROMAI society includes about 120 full members almost all of them from Romania and Republic of Moldavia.

The current activity of the society is rulled by a board: a president, four vice-presidents, one secretary and one treasurer.
